Can you unlock a PDF if I don't know the password?

No. Removing a password requires that you enter the correct current password — we don't crack or bypass PDF passwords.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Just upload your file, choose add or remove, and download the result.

How much does it cost?

Your first file each day is free, no account needed. After that, it's $0.60, or $1/month for unlimited if you subscribe.

Is my file safe?

Yes. Your file is processed automatically and deleted from our servers within one hour. We never share or store your documents — including passwords, which are never logged.

What encryption does the password protection use?

AES-256, the current industry standard for PDF password encryption.

Can I set permissions, like disabling printing?

Not yet — this tool sets a single password to open the file. Fine-grained permissions (no printing, no copying) aren't supported yet.

What if I forget the password I just set?

There's no way for us to recover it — write it down somewhere safe. We don't store your password after processing.
